A list poem describes a noun or an idea. Compose a list poem related to cows and post it here. Remember to include poetic techniques and focus on a specific topic. Below is an example of a list poem by Mary O'Neill
The sound of water is: Rain, Lap, Fold, Slap, Gurgle, Splash, Churn, Crash, Murmur, Pour, Ripple, Roar, Plunge, Drip, Spout, Skip, Sprinkle, Flow, Ice, Snow. What poetic elements do you notice in this poem?
I notice that the rain poem has rhyme and onomatopoeia.
My list poem for cows is this:
Cows
Cows come in beautiful colors
they can be ivory as paper,
ebony like the night sky,
be the color of beige,
or even be the pattern
of cloud and midnight
Poetic Techniques: simile, metaphor
