I was so proud of students who were prepared with their reading logs today! Remember to read 3 books each month to stay on track to fulfill our long-term goal.

Do you need suggestions for finding the right book?
  • Do the five finger test
  • Go to the media center, class library, or public library
  • Ask for suggestions from your friends
  • Look for books from your favorite author or series


Do you need help getting started?
  • Find a quiet place to read
  • Schedule a time to read each day
  • Start a book club

Miss Alike,
Charlotte and I don't understand the pre-writing worksheet. Are we suppost to write about our culture, or Japan's culture? Also, are we suppost to do our pictures tonight, or later?

Write about the culture in your book. You are not creating any pictures now. Write information to inform someone about the culture.
